Cancellation and No-Show Policy
I respectfully ask that you provide me with a 24 hour notice of any needed schedule changes or cancellation requests. Please understand that when you request to cancel an appointment without providing a 24 hour notice, I am often unable to fill that appointment time with another client. This is an inconvenience to me as your therapist and also means other clients on the waitlist often miss the opportunity to receive the services they need. For this reason, you will be charged 50% of the service fee for canceling the session with less than 24 hour notice. A credit card will be required to be on file for all appointment bookings as well as for this service charge, should it occur. If the charge fails to go through or gets kicked back, the charge will be taken from any gift card that is on your file. If there is no alternative form of payment on file, then an IOU will be placed on your file and it must be paid prior to any future appointment reservations.
If you have a fever, a sunburn, a topical skin condition (such as poison ivy/oak), a known infection or illness, or have experienced vomiting or diarrhea within 36 to 24 hours prior to your appointment time, I request that you contact me to cancel your session as soon as those symptoms begin. Please do not wait until the day of your appointment.
Cancellation requests that take place with less than 24 hours notice of your scheduled appointment time will be charged a 50% fee of the session cost. If you miss the appointment completely, you will be charged a 100% fee for the cost of the service and the session will be marked as a no-show. By booking a session online or signing the new client paperwork, you are acknowledging that you have been informed of the cancellation and no-show policy and agree to it.
I understand that emergencies are rare, and can arise at inopportune times.
Cancellation requests that take place less than 5 hours prior to the reservation time due to an emergency or inclement weather will determined on a case-by-case basis. If there are already three appointments that have a no-show status on your file, I reserve the right to require a 100% non-refundable deposit up front for all future appointments. I will always do my best to give advanced notice if I will need to cancel due to a personal emergency, illness, or inclement weather and promise to make up your missed appointment as soon as possible.
Understandably, extreme inclement weather may also result in the need for last minute appointment cancellations. Your safety and mine are important. Please know that if the road to my location is iced over or unsafe for passage for any reason, I will contact you with as much notice as possible. In this circumstance, no charge will be made should you choose to cancel and I will arrange with you for a future rescheduled session once conditions are improved.
